What to see and do in Coron
- Kayangan Lake is said to be the cleanest lake in the Philippines. Its water is brackish, a combination of fresh and salt water. The lake is open between 8AM to 4PM daily. At around 4PM, the swiftlets or balinsasayaw drink water from this pristine lake. And the water mixed with the bird's saliva makes the bird's nest or luray, which is used in making the world famous nido soup.
The lake and its surrounding waters are ancestral domain of the Tagbanwa tribe and is covered by the Indigenous People Rights Act of 1997 (RA 8371). Thus, one has to properly follow the rules and regulations set by the Tagbanwa indigenous laws.
- Siete Pecados is the most known and closest snorkeling destination around Coron. The literal meaning of the name Siete Pecados is "Seven Sins". The legend has it that seven sister went swimming against their mothers will, all of them drowned and afterwards seven islands appeared. The marine life around the Islands are amazing, when you snorkel you will see countless of fishes and the bottom is covered with hard corals.
- Twin Lagoon these lagoons are separated by beautiful limestone cliffs with a small tunnel under the water where an intrepid traveler can swim during high tide it is already submerged. Definitely this is a must-see place.
- Barracuda Lake is as equally inviting and magnificent as Kayangan. Fresh water on the surface and warm saltwater, breathtaking limestone formations underwater. An interest to divers for its unique layers of fresh, salt and brackish water and dramatic temperature shifts, which can reach as high as 38C. Its accesible by a short climb over a jagged, rocky wall that ends directly in the water.

- Banol Beach is a small stretch of sandy white beach and usually where lunch is served during Coron Island Hopping Tours. It is a public beach, and similar to the beaches in Coron island, is surrounded by a majestic backdrop of limestone cliffs.
- CYC Beach is a small Island and its one of the few beaches around Coron where they dont charge an entrance fee. The beach is small and therefor it sometimes get crowded. The Island is home to a monkey who gladly welcomes all the visitors hoping to get a treat.
- Malcapuya Island is located at Coron, Palawan and it will take approxiamately 1.5hour. The water is shallow and you have to walk out quite a bit before it gets deeper. There are plenty of fishes fearlessly swimming around in the water and you can spot some giant clams at the bottom with an abundance of corals and various kinds of marine life which makes it the most ideal snorkeling hotspot out there.. The beach itself is undoubtedly one of the best beaches in the Calamian Islands, so if you want to spend a day relaxing on the beach Malcapuya is definitely the place to go.
- Banana Island about 1.5 hours boat ride from Coron town also known as Dicalabuan Island. It features a beautiful beach covered with fine white sand. The water is clear and if you swim out a bit from the shore you can enjoy excellent snorkeling. Banana Island is modestly developed, but there are some beach huts where you can escape the sun for a while and a few cottages for those who like to spend a night on the Island.
- Bulog Island is a small island wich only takes minutes to walk around. One side of Bulog Island is rocky while the other side is made up of the finest white sand. The only development is a small cottage where visitors may have their lunch. During low tide a sandbar stretches all the way to the neighboring Malaroroy Island now (Two Seasons Coron Resort). Its a cozy island with a great beach and the waters around it offers good snorkeling opportunities.
- Black Island the island is called Malajom due to its unique physical characteristics.It has three small caves with mini-pool inside and a black rock of about 150 feet into a majestic cave.The island has natural gas which serves as flooring around the beach, as white silica of more or less 5 km. The island is one of the municipality’s sources of edible nests and guano for fertilizer. Inside the caves, you will find writings on the wall in Spanish. A mini-pool, a table forms rock, and a bench. Vacationists/adventurers believed that it was naturally built. It invites the adventurous that would dare and explore its interior for discovery, mystery, and fun.
- Calauit Safari Park is a game reserve and wildlife sanctuary located in Calauit Island, a 3,700 hectare island in theCalamian Islands. It is known for its wildlife sanctuary with a which features an array of splendid giraffes, zebras, wild boars, eagles, monkeys, Calamian deer, phython, and other african wildlife that all roam freely in a game reserve created by former President Ferdinand Marcos in the 1970s. This is truly an amazing tour for everyone, a whole day trip which provides a variety of experiences.
- Maquinit Hot Spring try different experience in Maquinit Hot Springs of Coron. The therapeutic properties of this natural spring are what you will most like in this place. You will be revitalized after a few minutes dip in this hot springs. This is the perfect place for those who want to release their tiredness and stress.
- Mount Tapyas this is a walking distance from the Town Prper. Extremely tiring but worth it! Enjoy a breath-taking view of the entire island and enjoy the unique sunset
- Culion is appoxiamtely 1 hour travel by boat from Coron town proper. A third class municipality in the province of Palawan, Philippines,[4] consisting primarily of Culion Island as well as 41 minor surrounding islands. The Culion Leper Colony was a former leprosarium.

- Wreck diving sites in Coron Bay include the Irako wreck, Okikawa Maru wreck, Akitsushima wreck, Kogyo Maruwreck, Olympia Maru wreck, Kyokuzan Maru wreck, East Tangat gunboat wreck (the real name of the ship,Terukaze Maru, was recently discovered by a group of Dutch divers, who spent a couple of days digging into bottom sand around the stern), Nanshin Maru wreck, Lusong Gunboat Wreck, and Skeleton Wreck.

How to get to Coron
The easiest and fastest way to get there is by taking a plane from Metro Manila. Once you reach Francisco Busuanga Airport, You need to take a van for about 40minutes before you reach Coron Town Proper. There is also an option of taking a Ferry (2GO) travel time would be 14hrs.
